Now here's one heckova business opportunity! Provided the Myrtlewood is included.
A real steamer of a storm – headed to Tillamook.
We hit the trail to Cape Lookout. The trees sport a thick mossy layer.
The forest is full of tasty tidbits for the attentive puppy. That looks like stinging nettle. I said, "attentive".
Fishin' can be a lonely thing.
Things are "greening up" in every direction.
It's the first time we've seen these gorgeous white/sometimes purple blooms. We think they're from the lily family – the plants are larger than the usual specimens.
They rate this trail easy to moderate – but today holds some special challenges – large sections are nothing more than enormous mud pits.
Wild roots systems sprawl across the trail – the pockets between the roots have also filled with water. Puddle jumping anyone?
Mud, glorious mud!
Ahh, a section you can just simply put one foot in front of the other and make progress. Despite conditions – it is a glorious rainforest walk.
